Hi, We’re the Nelson’s! Jon, Mara, Madelyn, Maddox, Clara, and Vann. Thanks for stopping by. In 2013 we road-tripped from Minnesota to California. After living in Minnesota our entire life, we were ready and excited to call someplace new our home. Living in Southern California has given our family ample opportunity for new experiences. We are surrounded by an abundance of culture, beauty, fun, and of course sunshine. But no matter where you live there is enormous opportunity. We hope to provide inspiration for you to get out, explore and enjoy new experiences with your own family. You don’t need to go far or spend a lot of money to have fun.
Our goal is to take a minimalistic approach to life. Live simple with less stuff so we can experience more. Granted, we are a work in progress in this materialistic world, but with each item we purge from our home or each item we pass on while shopping we feel we are one step closer to where we want to be. We want to see more. We want to travel more. We want to give our children unforgettable experiences that will last a lifetime.
